HOOKED ART 

 

I am a "Hooker" at heart. In the 1960s I took up Rug hooking and fell in love with the Art. I hooked until the late 1970s and then put it aside to become a baker (would much rather be a hooker) and in 2018 with much joy I took it up again. It is my meditation with one Loop hooked at a time  my life slows down my thoughts only go to what I'm hooking because it truly is a labor of love. Dyeing and cutting wool, designing patterns I am only able to create a small number of pieces each year. Each one being one of a kind with a part of my own spirit intermingled  in each Stitch. They can be hung, used as a rug, or sat upon and passed down from generation to generation.
